Born in 1957, Mr. Hassan Mortaji enjoys 50-years of experience in economy and commerce and is doing business in regional, international, and nonboring countries markets during the past three decades.
For the first time, he started his business by exporting cherries to Hamburg, Germany, in 1989 and continued his activities by exporting different industrial products and foodstuff to different Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries.
He is also managing director of Pegah Tejarat Company which is doing its international activities as ITF Group from 1989 until now. So far, he has organized several international exhibitions by focusing on CIS countries, Russian, Azerbaijan Republic, Turkmenistan, etc unparticular, attended by several high-ranking foreign officials.
Mortaji has been graduated from San Petersburg International University in Russia. He also has been present in Russian from 1990-2010 and has taught Russian to Persian-speaking students and dispatched numerous Iranian students to Russia. Due to his astonishing activities in Russia, the dean of San Petersburg International University awarded him an honorary doctorate in State Economy Management.
He also has played a key role in providing numerous Iranian products including clothing, chandeliers, paintings, and machine-made and hand-woven carpets in well-known Russian chain markets in Lan Expo Exhibition in Sant Petersburg.
He started his first exhibitions in Russia in 1991. He also organized an exhibition in "Mikhailovsky Mange" (in Nevsky Prospekt, St. Petersburg city center) in an area covering 3,000 square meters attended by 110 Iranian companies.
He repeatedly has traveled the land routes of Moscow-St. Petersburg-Biskov in Russia, Baku (Azerbaijan Republic) -Makhachkala, Kalmykia -Astrakhan, Astrakhan-Octavia (Kazakhstan) -Avazeh Port and Ashgabat (Turkmenistan) as well as all the territorial regions of Ukraine and Belarus in the CIS republics by car or train.
He has also attended Iran's joint economic cooperation commissions in Lebanon (2011), Turkmenistan (2013-2017), Kazakhstan (2015), and the Azerbaijan Republic (2018) attended by the ninth, 10th, 11th and 12th presidents.
He, as a leading expert in the field of CIS region, believes that the Iranian government should pay due attention to the Caspian Sea as the hub of energy in the region.
He believes that the government should pay due attention to the reinforcement of cooperation with the CIS countries and pave the way for Iranian businessmen and merchants aimed at expanding foreign trade.
He thinks southwest of Russia, the Caucasus, and beyond regions enjoy the very untouched position, and Iran's traditional rivals including Turkey, China, India, and etc, are not widely active in these regions.
His main motto is "Export Development and Currency Exchange with a Focus on the Region and Neighboring Countries".
Common cultural and historical commonalities, cheap access to regional markets, economical transportation of goods, as well as having long borders with neighboring countries, are considered as the main reasons behind his long-term presence in this market.
This prominent Iranian economic activist and expert in the field of CIS thinks that the presence of Iranian commodities and products in the global markets is considered as the most important factor of development in the global economy.
He believes that export plays a key role in the expansion of the economy in the global market.
Her main criticism is the lack of rational order in the country's export affairs and the absence of "Export Minister" in the Iranian cabinet.
